The Challenge:
Our growing enterprise requires a modern and scalable approach to data storage. We are currently facing challenges with our existing storage infrastructure, including rising costs, siloed data, complex management, and a lack of scalability to support our future growth. We need a solution that improves performance, streamlines data management, and lowers our total cost of ownership.
The Project Goal:
We are seeking a senior-level Storage Virtualization expert to design and architect a comprehensive, long-term storage strategy. The successful candidate will not only identify the right technologies but also provide a clear, actionable roadmap for implementation. This project is about building a powerful, future-proof foundation for our data.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Current State Assessment: Conduct a detailed audit of our existing storage environment, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and key pain points.
- Strategic Architecture Design: Architect a vendor-agnostic storage virtualization solution (e.g., using technologies like VMware vSAN, Dell EMC, or Cloud-based solutions) that meets our performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
- Implementation & Migration Plan: Develop a phased plan for migrating our data to the new virtualized environment with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Policy & Governance Recommendations: Define best practices for data management, backup, and disaster recovery within the new architecture.
- Final Report & Presentation: Deliver a comprehensive document and presentation outlining the proposed strategy, a clear budget forecast, and a step-by-step implementation guide.
